Sandra has been teaching yoga since 2010 and practicing since 2003. She began her studies in Kriya yoga and earned her 200-hour certification from Blue Lotus in Anusara-inspired yoga. She has since been certified and specializes in Yin yoga, Restorative yoga, Therapeutic yoga, Sound Bathing, and Vibrational Sound Healing.
Yin yoga consists of long-held (5-minute) floor postures mainly affecting the spine, hips, and pelvis. Yin specifically targets the connective tissue, where we hold much of our emotional and physical trauma. As we age, our connective tissue tends dry out and become brittle. Regular Yin practice helps to bring moisture back into the tissues, lessening joint issues and enhancing overall mental and physical well-being.
